Minor Update: Names! Bug fixes! Blinking!


Just updated the demo build with a few adjustments. These are most of the creepy-crawlies I've had scurrying around in the corner of my eye for a while:

  • ✦ Added character names to their portraits thanks to Brian for reminding me and Colette for the initial idea; this was beta feedback I loved and made a note to implement after Narrascope, but it slipped my mind in the overall Ectocomp scramble. I'd like to design some bespoke nameplates for another build, but in the meantime these are just a few more lines in the stylesheet and didn't require me to reconfigure any existing HTML.
  • ✦ Updated the confirm button on the Trait selection pages to the correct class
  • ✦ Resized the teeth image at the end of the Stasimon
  • ✦ Adjusted which notifications appear on which passages (about text mechanics, audio control, etc)
  • ✦ Removed some redundant assets from the image library
  • ✦ Added Laurence's blinking animation to his passages! 👁️👁️

This one continues to evade me however:

🐛 Passage environment art in "WRECKAGE" displays locally but not on itch; still troubleshooting. For a workaround, download the game's offline build and open the index.html file in your browser.
